Because it’s winter, and we can sometimes be a little lazy about bundling up to get outside and play, I thought I’d share two of my favourite outdoor exploration guides with you.
I live in the province of British Columbia, a place that has been called one of the best places to homeschool in the world. Our homeschooling laws favour families, and offer immense freedom for families that choose to supervise their own children’s educations.
This week, I am extremely pleased to present an interview with my very own homeschooling sister, Sara Wiens. Married to Robin Wiens (who writes our Public School Perspectives column), she’s an artist, teacher, and Montessori mom. Not living close, I don’t get the opportunity to see and hear about their family’s everyday learning, so this interview is a special treat for me. Enjoy her ideas, and unique perspective on using Montessori to work with a child with special needs.
